Finding My Way
Back To Me
How I found the courage to free myself after seventeen years in an abusive marriage
We can all heal, we can all grow and we can all move on to create the life we deserve.
RECLAIMING MY LIFE... and finding peace

In Finding My Way Back To Me, Amanda J. Scott shares her story to free herself from the emotional, physical and financial abuse she lived with for seventeen years.
This book tracks her journey as she shares the 43 pivotal days it took to find the inner strength to transcend the day-to-day trauma of an abusive marriage and take control of her own life and her own destiny.
Available 30 April 2025
I wrote this book to draw attention to the way 'abuse' has become normalised in our world. Often it stays hidden because of the shame and guilt associated with being abused. 70% of women stay in abusive relationships.
We all have what it takes to create a new life if we are willing to stop making ourselves wrong and our abusers 'right'.

14 KEY LEARNINGS
From my lived experience of financial and emotional abuse
When you have been abused for a long time, you keep accepting it, even when you know you shouldn't.
My journey started when I had realised that I simply couldn't do it any more, that I was worthy of being treated with respect and that I wanted a better life for myself and my children.
